服用中药的禁忌大致可分为四种：
The taboos of taking traditional Chinese medicine can be roughly divided into four types:
（1）中药配伍禁忌：某些药物因配方后可产生相反、相恶关系，使彼此药效降低或引起毒副反应，因此禁忌同用。

(2) Drug contraindications for pregnant women: mainly to avoid fetal movement and abortion, because most women after pregnancy have poor tolerance to cold, heat, severe diarrhea, blood breaking and blood stasis removing drugs with high toxicity, they must avoid the use of relevant drugs.
（3）服药期间饮食禁忌：俗称忌口，主要为避免服药时的干扰因素，以便提高药效，可分为某一种药物对应的忌口与不同病情条件下用药时的忌口两类，前者如人参忌萝卜、鳖甲忌苋菜、甘草忌鲢鱼、常山忌葱、茯苓忌醋等。后者为慢性病服药须忌生冷，热性病治疗期间忌辛辣、油腻，痈疡疮毒、皮肤疾患忌鱼虾、鹅肉及辛辣刺激之品。
(3) Dietary taboos during medication: commonly known as taboos, it is mainly to avoid interference factors during medication, so as to improve the efficacy. It can be divided into taboos corresponding to a certain drug and taboos during medication under different conditions, such as ginseng taboo radish, turtle shell taboo amaranth, licorice taboo silver carp, Changshan taboo onion, Poria cocos taboo vinegar, etc. The latter is a chronic disease, and the medication must avoid raw and cold. During the treatment of hot diseases, it should avoid spicy and greasy, carbuncle and sore poison, skin diseases, fish, shrimp, goose and spicy products.
